For Sherilynn, human interaction is something that she longs for. You might not be able to tell at first glance, but it isn’t so easy for her because she is deaf.
Although Sherilynn can’t hear, she chooses not to let it define who she is. As we are all different, the challenges faced with living in a “hearing world”, does create obstacles for her. In the end, it’s our dissimilarities that can bring us together and everyone deserves to feel as though they belong.
The world is too big and too filled with amazing people, to let others, who can inspire you, pass you by. make a difference in someone’s life by simply being there to listen or lend a helping hand. You never know, they might do the same for you.
We are all connected even though it seems like the world is getting too busy to get to know one another. Have you ever felt alone? What are some rituals or occasions that you have used to helped someone or have come together? Your stories are much appreciated!
