An elderly Nevada woman, Hellen “Skeeter” Smith,  had just heard news that her son was sick, so she set off to drive the 350 miles that it would take to get to him in Salt Lake City.

Unfortunately, a traffic violation caused her to get stopped by a state trooper, when she accidently backed into his police car.

”Four good-lookin’ patrol boys” ended up driving her to visit her ailing son in the hospital.

Andrew Pollard, one of the state troopers says,

“To have (hospital staff) there waiting, to hold her hand as we walked into the hospital… it was very, very rewarding.”
