Brooklyn-based photographer, Marc Bushelle likes to play dress up with his wife and daughter, Lily, but not in the way that you think. He instead takes his skill and uses it to recreate iconic moment in history featuring prominent women of various decades.
He wanted to teach Lily about history in a way that would be playful and fun, highlighting unusual choices that we normally don’t see in history books.
The costumes, as fun as they are to Lily, are a way to show the impact that women have had. Although these women come from all walks of life, little girls everywhere can learn that they can achieve anything.
