#3) Top Knot
Oh, the famous and lovely top knot. Women everywhere are rocking this effortlessly chic style. However, to pull off this look successfully, the messier and effortless it appears, the better.
Gather all your hair at the top, creating one large two-strand loose twist(two chunks of hair simultaneously wrapped around one another). Next wrap your hair around itself until it’s all wound up into a ball. Secure with pins or an elastic band. You’re done!
#4) Bayalage Color
In hair care Bayalage is a technique in which the dye is painted on in such a way as to create a graduated, natural-looking effect. Also refereed to as “Baliage” or “Balayer“, it is a french term meaning to “sweep away”.
This is the most exciting hair trend to hit salons in a long time. Somewhat of a cousin to ombre, but not the same, Bayalage is applied in such a way that mimics the natural highlights one would get after a summer in the sun.
Another cool thing about this coloring, is that you don’t have to be blonde or always get blonde highlights to get the beachy hues that it offers. The subtlety is partly because of the low contrasting of color that is painted on, so if you have very dark hair, light brown highlights will look very natural.
Unlike ombre, which has the potential to look harsh, bayalage creates a soft feminine look that frames your face with diffused color.

#5) The Graduated Bob
The bob a classic style that has stood the test of time, is very in style for autumn. Unlike the classic bob, that is more angular and is set at one, even length around the circumference of the head, the graduated bob creates a shorter fullness at the nape of the neck, while gradually gaining length towards the face.
Bobs look great on every hair texture: straight, wavy, curly, coily. It also virtually flatters every face shape and is a great go to style for busy or active women.
The hairstyles of Fall 2014 are a mixture of classic, traditional and contemporary. As easy as they are to maintain, they are low maintenance ways of looking great and updated. Choose whatever style fits your personality and lifestyle and show it off during the cooler months.
